Bangarang is all about finding the best food out there. Anyone can recommend a hidden gem and that includes diners, foodies, restaurants, bars, hotels and food trucks. We want to map it all in one place! If you'd recommend a dish to family and friends, we want to know about it. Here's how to get the most out of it.

eat — search what you're craving
Search the whole site to find the Bangarang hidden gems that have been tagged unique, signature, must-try, best flavour, trending, even cocktails and more food all with one easy click.

create your free account & become part of the community
Anyone can browse the finds. Create a free profile in seconds to rate dishes, like the ones you love, share your own finds, invite others to try them with you, save places to your map and earn rewards.

share a find
Found something delicious? Open the share tab on the home page and the recommend form appears right there. Add your photo, the restaurant, the dish, up to three tags, and tell us why it's worth it.

rate the dishes you try
Tap the star on any find. Pick the month you visited, score it out of 5 for looks the part, flava bomb and coming back and add your own photo of the dish. The tally beside the star shows the dish's average.

like your favourites
Tap the heart to back a dish you love. The tally shows how many diners agree, and the finds people love most get bumped up the feed.

look for the flame
The flame isn't a button — it's earned. Any dish with an average rating of 4.5 or more gets the flame badge on its photo, so you can spot the finds everyone agrees are worth the trip.

invite a friend to try it
Hit the envelope icon on any find to send it to someone. Copy the link or share it via WhatsApp, Facebook or email — the tally counts every share.

city discoveries — browse by city
The discover tab groups every find by city in collapsible sections, so you can jump straight to where you're eating.

restaurant guide — if anyone knows where to try hidden gems, it's your local restaurant
The restaurants tab lists the restaurant profiles on Bangarang, grouped by city. Each card links through to that restaurant's own page with their finds, menu, website and booking.

Save any find to your personal map and build your own food journey — every dish you want to try, kept in one place.

join the foodie finder challenge
Visit three hidden gems other members have recommended and rate each one with your own photo, all three scores and your thoughts — three foodie finds earns you a $20 gift card. Separately, Bangarang badges reward you for sharing your own finds: Bangarang Novice (3 dishes recommended), Bangarang Pro (10) and Bangarang Guide (20).

Claimed restaurants get a verified badge and a dedicated page with their logo, finds, photos and business details, linked from every post and from the restaurants page.
